As responsible designers, we constantly monitor and update our procedures to ensure we are providing the most recent construction-based advice to our valued customers.

Not only have there been changes at the NCC (National Construction Code) level recently but also with the Australian Standards – most notably the updated release of the following standards;

AS 1684.2:2021

Residential Timber-Framed Construction, Part 2: Non-Cyclonic Areas 

This Standard specifies requirements for building practice and the selection, placement and fixing of the various structural elements used in the construction of timber-framed Class 1 and Class 10 buildings as defined by the National Construction Code. The provisions of this Standard also apply to alterations and additions to such buildings. This Standard is to be used in conjunction with the Supplements to this Standard.
